Campaign cover image

Many young people describe social media as a major contributor to depression and anxiety. Addictive algorithms lead young people to spend more time on social media and can also expose them to more content impacting body image and normalizing bullying, pornography, violence, and self-harm.

Public Health Advocates is sponsoring Senate Bill 976, which will prevent social media platforms from sending addictive feeds to minors without parental consent AND help provide parents with the tools they need to protect their kids from social media addiction.

Your gift will help to build guardrails around social media companies, support vital legislation, and amplify youth voices for change

Your support is urgently needed to ensure children are protected!
