Africa Connect is an undertaking of Berkshire Missions, Inc, a 501 c(3) located in Western Mass. We have been partnering with Kenyan nationals to serve the extremely poor in a network of slums near Kitale, Kenya since 2006. By focusing on vulnerable children in the context of family and community, we have seen countless lives transformed through the power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, loving care and practical empowerment.

Our core project is a free preschool that enables poor children to access the Kenyan educational system. They receive high quality schooling, two meals daily, medical care and loving nurture. After 3 years they graduate, and some are sponsored through the Ian Memorial Sponsorship Fund to continue their education in private primary and secondary schools. Some vocational/skills training is also offered to our high school graduates.

At the Connect Compound, parents receive training in tailoring, business, hairdressing, computer, organic farming and more, and participate in vibrant Christian community at Connect Chapel. We have recently added our own farm, a water borehole, solar power, poultry and dairy cows, and use other measures to further our goal of long-term project sustainability.

We are committed to integrity, clear donor reporting and accountability. In 2024, 89% of all spending went to the field. Thank you for allowing Africa Connect to be a channel of your compassion!
